Our team has one great thing in common and that is we all love fashion…especially Bridal. From the designers work in fashion for over 30 years to the newest members, the Studios pride and joy is to help each bride find a dress they love and have them looking beautiful in it too. Our skills, values and courtesy come together with a hope to provide every Bride a unique and wonderful Bridal experience.
Sonthai Gi
Fashion Designer - Owner
In 1990 after graduating high school and being accepted to Ecole Lesage Fashion Design School in Paris, Sonthai Gi chose to stay with family locally and utilize a scholarship to attend The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. After graduating in 1995, Sonthai worked for evening wear designers and costumes film makers in Hollywood, CA. In the following years as designer for several bridal houses including his favorite Vera Wang, it was time for Sonthai to venture out on his own.
In 2003 Sonthai opened his own Bridal and evening-wear salon in Los Angeles, CA to work directly with the Brides and the gown he loves. He then said “Bridal Gowns are going to be the rest of my life”. In 2009 Sonthai moved with his partner to San Jose to expand the Bridal Gown business to setup his personal Design Studio to serve Brides with beautiful custom wedding dresses.
After a lifelong devotion to fashion, Sonthai and his partner and small team established Bridal Gown Studio Orlando in 2017 as an inspiration to serves brides all over California and Florida. Sonthai loves Orlando especially because as he said “ Its always beautiful weather to wear a wedding dress in Florida”

Fashion has always been at the center of my life. From designing and sewing my own clothes to now styling brides, I have been able to extend that personal hobby and passion to my career. Being that I have a background in design, I am able to help my brides turn their dreams into a reality with a unique perspective. Working in bridal over the years has been so special and I’m lucky to be a part of each brides big day. With that being said, I can’t wait to help you find the one!

I am a couturier and designer with more than 30 years in fashion. Upon receiving my degree at Endicott College in 1986, a highly recognized fashion design school at the time, I departed for Europe and worked with many of the most highly regarded couture shops in London, England.
In 2001 upon a return to the states, I was able to oversee many costume design projects for Hollywood feature films, theatre and dance.
After several years in some of New England’s most prestigious bridal shops and my own bridal salon in Boston I decided to transition to Florida. More recently I have worked on intricate costumes and theatrical design for the most prominent studios and theme park stages in the area.
I truly love my work and have the experience and talent to help any apprehensive bride into a dress that makes her feel like a queen on one of the most important days of her life.

I love being a part of every brides experience in our store. There is a satisfaction helping brides find their wedding dress, and knowing I am able to make their dress fit perfectly or accomplish their customization needs for their unique dress.

Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with brides in central Kentucky all the way down to the sunshine-filled Florida coast. I am so incredibly lucky to be able to do what Im passionate about—making women feel confident, empowered and most of all, fabulous. I’m incredibly honored to be playing a special part in such a magical moment in your life.

I started sewing costumes in 2015 and graduated from Florida State University in 2019 with a BA in theatre, focusing on costumes. I've always loved fashion, as it plays a very important role in the world's cultures, but also as a general way of self expression. Upon joining the team for Bridal Gown Studio Orlando as a seamstress, my hope is that all brides who visit us will walk away with a dress that aligns with their vision and shines through with their unique personalities.
